Fun in Sin City

The last time that we went to Vegas we went to Chuckie Cheeses for Michelle's birthday! You would have thought Luxie died and went to Heaven! She had so much fun! A good time was had by all really. Here are some pictures of her enjoying herself . . . and others!!!

Come my animal friends . . .

The poor kid didn't stand a chance! When you come into a household where the animals outnumber the humans you either learn to love them or hate life!! So Luxie being the little survivor that she is has adapted! SHE LOVES THE ANIMALS!!! All of them! For those of you who don't know we have 3 dogs, two cats, a Gecko lizard, a ferret and 2 fish tanks!!! I told you, it's a sickness!! But she loves them all! Here she is loving Dex our ferret. She always goes over to his cage and checks his water to make sure he has some! She loves to help feed the dogs and just plain loves the cats! She has two fish in her bedroom and thinks that is the greatest thing ever! She is a child after my own heart!

Easter!

This was Luxie's first real Easter! I mean she got to get out and actually pick up her Easter Eggs! She was so cute! Notice her shoes, she has never had shoes that go between her toes before. So as I am putting them on her she started kicking and I said, "Wow, look at those fancy shoes!" and she started walking around saying, "Fancy, fancy!" It was her word for the day!

She looked like a little princess. She even let me paint her finger and toe nails!!

And she LOVED the Easter egg hunt! We did a little hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's house with all her couisins! She had a ball. Gracie found an egg hidden in the drain pipe and Luxie saw her pull it out. Luxie went over to the pipe and tried to put some of her eggs from her basket in there! Kept saying "hiding, hiding" Tried to add a video but it didn't work! you'll just have to trust me that it was SOOOOO CUTE!!!

I thought it would be interesting to write about my wonderful husband. Or I though it would be fun to post something!!! ANYTHING!!!!
How long have you been together? We have been married 4 and a half long, er, I mean wonderful years!! Together for almost 6!
How long did you date? We dated for 15 months. We were engaged for 6 of those and on the same continent for only 6. The first 2 and the last 4.
How old is he? 27
Who eats more? I do! Sad but true. Mike has learned the art of saying no. Something I am still trying to master.
Who said "I love you" first? Mike of course! What's not to love about me??
Who is taller? Mike is.
Who sings better? Funny you should ask, this weekend I was singing in the car with Mike and Luxie and mid song Mike turned around to Luxie and said "Mommy has a terrible voice!" She just smiled. So I would say that by unanimous vote I don't sing well and Mike just doesn't sing period. So who knows!
Who is smarter? What kind of a question is this? Who's smarter??? Um . . . I would be an idiot to say that I am because Mike would sacrifice me, if I said he was I would sound like I was just trying to be nice! I think this is a trick question and I am refusing to answer it! That should make the answer clear to anyone reading it anyway!
Who does the laundry? We both do! :) We are one of those happy perfect couples that share all of the household chores! Generally we sing together while we fold the laundry! He holds the bluebird on his shoulder and I smile at him with a twinkle in my eye thinking how did I get so lucky . . . No really we both do! Mike is doing a good job of helping me with the laundry! It's a beautiful thing!
Who does the dishes? Ummm...another trick question. By saying that I do would make it sound like Mike does nothing, (not true), but by saying we both do doesn't give me nearly the credit I deserve! So I am going to go with neither! We use paper!
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? depends how you look at it. Laying on the bed looking up I am on the right. Looking at the bed from the foot of it Mike does! Who cares? Does it mean some thing???
Who pays the bills? These questions are just wierd! Who pays the bills? Well Mike works more and gets paid more, but I am the one who set up the automatic bill pay. Do I get the credit or does he?
Who mows the lawn? We both do! Our lawn is huge! One person should not carry the burden of that lawn alone!
Who cooks dinner? If by cook you mean making ramen noodles, then me! Of course me! I am the perfect wife!
Who is more stubborn? That would be Mike! I am stubborn for anyone who knows me but Mike is a rare breed of stubborn! He is just wow! There are stories I could tell . . . unfortuantely they don't do me any justice!
Who kissed who first? Mike kissed me first but I had to egg him on a little bit!
Who asked who out? I asked him to come watch me play softball and then he asked me to a drive in with my sister and his friend that night! I'll let him have the credit on this one!
Who proposed? He did! And it is such a cute story but I think this has gone on long enough so I will spare you all!
Who is more sensitive? Me! Most definately me! I am not sure Mike even has feelings sometimes! Is that mean??
Who has more friends? Ummm, so many trick questions! I could go so many different directions with this! We are both social retards so I am going to go with it being a toss up! That is why we work so well together!

Life as I know it

I am pretty sure this is as good as it gets . . . I get to wake up to my little angel calling for Mommy, mommy mommy! Sweeter words have never been spoken. Speaking of of speaking, my little girl is the most talkative thing in the world! Every day Mike and I are amazed at a new word or words she has put together. One of her many new things is saying "hungry girl" as she walks over to her high chair! She is just getting so grown up! She is barely learning to blow kisses but she is pretty good at it! That is one of the cutest things I have ever seen!

We are taking swimming lessons with her BFF Abby at the Murray Park Center. She is loving it! She is learning to blow bubbles in the water and to kick kick kick! Her favorite thing when we go to the pool is going down the big slide on her Mommy's or Daddy's lap! She just giggles the whole way down. This picture is from last summer because I haven't gotten a current one in her swim suit, but have you ever seen a cuter kid?? She was about 9 months old. She is now 16 months andcute as ever!

It's crazy how quickly time has passed and how much fun she is! I can't imagine my life without her! You have never seen a cuter pair than her and her dad either! She is a little tease, just like him! She loves to torment her Papa! He will ask her for loves and she will start to run towards his outstretched arms and at the last minute she v-lines out of his reach and just laughs! She truly is my life as I know it! And I wouldn't have it any other way!
